Tried lots of detectors...Tesoro Vaquero is the one I wound up with.....
Well, I have had 3 of these. I went through the phase of, I have to have the best metal detector and deepest. I had a Tesoro Eldorado years ago, and never really learned how to use it. Sold it. I had 2 Vaqueros and never really learned how to use it. Went through about 10 machines in the last few years, and I just sold my last I.D. machine on EBAY...Garrett AT Max. Its a good machine, just not for me. Lost money on that deal. For me I.D. machines are useless. Think about this... 9volts are available from battery...on Vaquero, it powers the detector...not menus, and I.D. meters etc.......Anyway I love the Vaquero. Learn how to use it and supertune for awesome performance.(youtube videos). Turn the DISC knob if I want to I.D the beep.... I highly recommend Tesoro Vaquero. $455 ! Wow!
