These weatherproof impedance matching dial volume controls are full range volume controls that can be adjusted to meet the requirements of your installation. With a simple change of the placement of two shorting bars on the printed circuit board, you can safely connect up to 8 pairs of 8 ohm speakers to a single amplifier, receiver or selector box running at 8 ohm. Refer to the charts provided in the included installation manual to determine how to set the shorting bars to ensure the proper impedance matches the level being produced from your amplifier, receiver or selector box. These dial volume controls can be used with any combination of 4ohm, 8ohm or 16ohm speakers by adjusting the shorting bars to the appropriate terminal setting. The dial has 12 steps of attenuation: first position is off , steps 2 through 7 at 3db each, steps 8 through 11 at 6db each and the final position allows the signal from the amplifier, receiver or selector box to pass through completely.Product Identifiers

Cheap alternative
I like Quality . I’m also a fan of affordable quality.. Unfortunately , these VCs are on the cheapo side of quality . Also , don’t be fooled like I was ,that the Cover ( that’s built into the VC ) will fit onto your existing box. Inexpensive and easy to install
They do the job in regulating the volume. They are relatively easy to install. The directions provided could be improved. No mention is made in them telling you that the wire connectors in the controls are removable–making it very easy to wire up. I found out when they came loose from their connections and fell out on the table. With some help from the seller, I was able to put the shorting bars in the right place on each control.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
