Mixed signal models also add a 16 channel logic analyzer. They are perfect for engineers on the move; ideal for a wide range of applications including design, test, education, service, monitoring, fault finding, and repair.A small form factor is not the only benefit of these PC-based scopes.
The unit with its PC software interface (needs downloading and installation) work smoothly with each other. The installation of software took a little time because it needed two other programs that was not installed on my computer. In all it took less than 30 minutes to have the software running. The PicoScope was recognized immediately and the interface was logical and easy to navigate. It has a very handy trigger setup which makes finding the event much simpler than simple edge trigger systems.
It will take a while to learn all its features and some of its parameters and their dependencies. For example X-axis scale changes the sampling rate. It took a while to find that the sampling rate is displayed under screen properties. The help is both readable and useful, it had been a while since I have seen a none Chinese write-up.
The probe and the function generator worked well. A very good value for the money.
I really like it! I suppose the most troubling part is trying to change a setting while probing the circuit. Not quite as easy as twisting a knob on a standalone scope! A touchscreen would be better than my desktop mouse clicking. But it does work quite well. Thank you.
