They aren't rechargeable, but I read that the battery lasts a long time, and I'm sure you can find replacement batteries on eBay for cheap LOL! These glasses work perfectly with my TV. Easy to set up, light weight, and fit nicely over my glasses. A few have complained they don't block out light, and I can see why they say that, but I haven't noticed it being an issue at all. Watched Avatar on my 55" Samsung and it looked just as good as it did in the IMAX, if only smaller.
