It seems like a silly thing but I love it!
It’s not that hard to do the research and figure out how much water to put in to microwave mac and cheese in a regular microwave dish...but then you have to remember for next time or figure it out again. When I want my easy microwave comfort food I am exhausted, had a bad day, am sick as a dog or something else that makes me want an absolute no brainer path to that childhood mainstay of boxed mac n cheese. That’s what this is. The instructions are engraved on the hefty microwave and dishwasher safe container. Pour in mac, fill to line with water, and microwave as directed. Great for an adult with mind blown, and great for a kid seeking independence in cooking their own when they aren’t ready to solo with draining a heavy pot of boiling water. There is no draining with this method. Be aware it IS hot coming out of the microwave so kid needs competence with hot pads and removing hot items from microwave. There are good dry grip zones on each side of the container. Cleanup is easy with just the bowl and a spoon to wash because milk and butter can be guestimated instead of measured. Leave them out and it won’t kill you to eat cheese freckled macaroni. Double them and get cheese noodle soup. A good opportunity for a kid to practice estimating or measuring with mild consequences and high success rates. Bowl can be used as a regular microwave safe bowl for nuking food items other than mac n cheese. MAKES COOKING MAC N CHEESE AND TOP RAMEN SOOOO EASY!
Bought these for Xmas gifts. I already bought one and love love love it. I have a microwave in my bedroom (retired) and at lunch I make my Kraft mac n cheese or even Top Ramen in it. My adult grandson loves using one too! The mac n cheese I add the noodles as directed with the bowl, I fill with water up to the line and cook as directed.
