Performed as Expected, BUT.. no comparison to X7
If there wasn't an FIIO X7 at a reasonable cost maybe I'd like it more. But in this day and age of Android & ios ver6s on the street. Any DAP today must build off the interactivity that we live with on a daily basis. And the X5II is more closly aligned to a 20yr old ipod than a Galaxy X7 or Iphone 6s.
One of the biggest disappointments was returning to a wired world to transfer music files.. Where you download updates, firmware, music, explorer apps, via wifi on the X7. The X5ii has no such option. I must have just assumed that it did when I bought it..
To tell the truth I should have sent it right back after realizing that there was no wifi. AND, play lists are a little funky and not easily editable..
My advice is, save you're money for an X7, it is a contender for one of the best DAPs available at a reasonable price with interchangable Amp modules..
