what my ATI Titan needed
Replaced the recoil spring assembly in my 1911 ATI Titan .45 which was poorly designed. A check on utube found recommendations for the Kimber replacement. Disassembled ATI and was unable to get it back together due to poor design of factory recoil spring assembly. Utube listed numerous issues with factory assembly and also factory assembly self destructing early on. Substituted the Kimber assembly and put the ATI back together effortlessly. Kimber Ultra Recoil Spring Assy
I love everything about my Colt Defender.........except for the cheesy recoil spring assembly. Particularly the way the 'U-plate'' is secured to the rod by an 'E'-clip. Due to the play in the 'plate' it makes re-assembly of the slide (re-installing the slide stop lever) a pain to align. Bought the Kimber Dual Spring Recoil Spring Guide Rod Assembly and the problem was immediately solved. Take-down/Re-assembly is a breeze, and the pistol functions perfectly. As an added bonus, the reverse plug also fills in the gap between the reverse plug and the barrel. I would recommend this 'fix-it' to anyone who owns a Colt Defender/Agent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
