The book teaches very practicle idioms which are common in American English.
The condition of the book was fairly good when I received it, but there were a lot of margin notes in pencil in Chinese or Japanese that I erased. Robert J. Dixson is one of my favorite grammarians whose books are popular. I had devoured his grammar and short stories when I was in high school, so I enjoyed adding this book to my books collection along with NTC American idioms and A Shorter Dictionary of Catch Phrases.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
