works great with electric guitar as well as bass
I strum a solid body electric guitar to accompany my singing. This preamp gave me a very nice near acoustic sound for that purpose. The scrambler distortion section allows me to add distortion for songs where I want that without having a separate unit, and all analog sound. Nothing digital.

Broken After Two Uses
Bought this item that was described as a fully functional floor demo model. So, I decided to trade a bit of wear and tear (on a box that seemed designed to stand up to punishment for years) for a few dollars. Took it out of the box and really liked the way it sounded. Plugged it in for the second time, and the sound was still there for a bit. Suddenly, the drive section would not disengage. Would not have been the worst thing, if it stayed how I set it with just a bit of grind blended in slightly with the dry signal. Instead, it is now 100% drive, 100% blended, 100% of the time. So, basically unusable.
