Well finished
The padlock is well finished with easy to read digits. Combination setting is straightforward. When locking the padlock one has to make sure that the shackle has entered the padlock body as it does not go in very far. These locks are convenient for frequent use locations as they do not require a key to be carried or fetched from a key rack. Here is a follow up after 4 months use: I have found out that the lock can lose the personal combination setting and lock you out. This happens when you unlock the padlock and hang it on the hole on the padbolt or the hasp and staple on your door. This action inadvertantly extends the post and in effect resets the lock to whatever the thumbwheels are set to. Usually i have found that it is one digit out on one of the wheels. It is a natural action to hang up the padlock in this fashion once it is opened but on a few occasions it has reset itself to a new combination. Placing the padlock on the ground or a flat surface is not always convenient depending on where it is used. If you find yourself in this situation try moving each combination wheel one digit either side and you should unlock it again. I have changed the padlock to a Squire model which requires a resetting rod to set the combination so avoiding this problem.
