A while back, JFJ changed the composition of these buffing pads. They used to work well, absorbing the expensive cleaning liquid to stay damp, wearing down slowly at a reasonable rate. At my retail store, if we used the machine a lot, we'd change the pad every week or so. The current pads are poor quality and seem to be designed to disintegrate quickly. Using them at about the same rate as I used to at my store, I'm going through two to three pads a day. They don't hold the moisture at all, even after one buff, so I constantly have to apply more liquid and am using about ten times more than I used to. The constantly-disintegrating layers of buff pad leave a horrific mess of foamy crap in the machine and all around it. It sticks to everything and clogs up the mini-vac when I try to remove it. These pads are also less effective than the old ones. If there are ANY dry spots on them, they leave swirl marks on the CD's, forcing me to apply way more liquid than should be necessary. I am actively seeking a generic replacement product that will work better with the JFJ Easy Pro machine. Read full review

It seems that certain batches of pads disintegrate faster than others. I get some pads that disintegrate really fast, and I only get about 25 disc cleaned before it is only about an 1/8 of an inch thick. It ends up being very costly to clean the disc.

No complaints, use more of these because most CDs are buffed and polished, Buffing wears pads faster than polishing.
