My LR4 came with only one key fob, and when the buttons fell off, they were lost on the street. I was looking at paying $500 for a new fob, but this kit and a YouTube video allowed me to repair it in about 20 minutes using only a small screwdriver. You *will* need all the internal parts from your old key fob, including the circuit card, battery caddy, springs, battery release button, and metal parts, so be very careful when disassembling to not lose or break anything. Pry only where shown in the video. WATCH THE VIDEO. After replacing the cover, it’s like wearing new socks—the feeling that nothing is impossible.

For less than $30.00 a piece, I replaced the outer shells of both of my 2012 Range Rover key fobs. To buy new ones would have cost me between $175.00 to $250.00 a piece depending on whether I purchased new ones from Land Rover or purchased an after market brand. Love it!!

This made both my keys looks brand new again!! I’m so mad I didn’t order this sooner. I added two photos... on the left, the old cover. The middle is the new cover on the key. and the one on the right is the spare key before I fixed it as well

Makes a new feel to your fob and it has the Land Rover logo on the back. New feature... recommend it!

Genuine Land Rover part. Instructions do not inform you that you need to save a side release black button from original unit. This is obvious once you have the fob dismantled. Be careful removing this release button. Otherwise, this is a great update to old, worn, or chewed fob covers. Highly recommended.
