Reproduction of Chinese Pilot Watch
Watch is attractive with off white dial set off with blue hour and minute hands, and sundials. The red chronograph hand really makes the dial pop. The dial has applied gold numerals and markers. The case is flawlessly polished stainless steel. Not only is the watch beautiful but it accurately keeps time and the chronograph works flawlessly. I like the olive green color of the watch strap, however a NATO strap on a Chinese watch is just a little out of place. A classic embodied
This is a classic exponent of an era when watches were an amalgamation of manually designed ingenious mechanisms and a craft passed from parents to children through generations. The movement, based on the Swiss Venus 175 column wheel based chronograph, is a workhorse, both in accuracy and reliability. The aesthetics are deeply Chinese, since this watch was designed for the Chinese military around 1962. Value for you money
This watch is a great bargin. If it were Swiss made it would cost many times the price. Collum-wheel, mechanical chronograph for under $300. It's not oversized and looks attractive on my wrist.
