Size matters
Extra length allows for longer stroke and more leverage, even on small dia logs/brush etc. and that helps cut speed and effort. Design is marginal, especially lockback feature where saw blade doesn’t track to handle when closing. Similar to the $6, 7” varieties you can buy at harbor freight china stores but has longer blade. It cuts, and keep on cutting.
I love this saw! It's light but doesn't quite fit in your pocket and the handle design is not the most comfortable. The angles of the blade doesn't allow for a "pistol grip" type configuration, but golly, does it cut! It doesn't jam and the blade doesn't bend easily.
