  • Bodett's Magical Alaska Town

Bodett's story telling is delightful, thoughtful, heart-warming, and entertaining. Through his characters, he does an excellent job taking us through the everyday lives of all communities and showing us how meaningful they are. We see a little of us and our loved ones in many of the characters in the book. The book presents a plausible world that is both unique to Alaska and experienced by all of us, one way or another.

A must read before going to Homer. Better are his tapes as he is hilarious reading his material.

  • Entertaining stories!

Reminds me of Lewis Grizzard and Garrison Keeler. Each chapter is a short story, yet they are all intertwined.
