It came a little bit more beat up than I expected it to. Most annoyingly, the screen cover towards the top is made up of two pieces, and I found that topest most piece kind of floppy, and when I open the laptop, the plastic would come kind of unhinged. This is primarily Lenovo's lack of foresight. For the screen cover to be made of two pieces, there is just two long bars on the inside of the cover that keep the top connected to the rest, but those bars are also made of plastic, and after many years of opening and closing the laptop by the edges of the screen (as you would naturally) those bars snapped, and so the top piece of the cover is floppy and comes apart sometimes. This doesn't inhibit functionality, it's just an annoyance. The battery doesn't last longer than 3 and a half hours. The hdd died after a month. And the trackpoint is left biased (as in it's easier to track left than right). I expected these kinds of things so I'm not overly bothered. It would have been nice to have a better gauge of the damage to the laptop ahead of time however.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Thinkpad X220
Great keyboard, lightweight, very comfortable. Very fast laptop, what I like about Thinkpad is they are so silent, you barely realize it is on. Some laptops have a loud whirling noise but the fan on this Thinkpad is barely audible. This is a business class laptop so it is built like a tank with excellent quality components. The down side is that business class laptop do not pay much attention to audio. The sound is functional and adequate but this is not really made for audio fans. That is easily remedied but using headphones or an external speaker system. The battery life is great. This is an awesome machine which is well designed. I like this better than my HP Probook business class laptop whose fan can get noisy at times. Everyone has different needs and likes but I love this Thinkpad X220. This is a good solid laptop. I updated from a Thinkpad x60 to this and while this has a little more plastic it is still a well made product that is light enough for traveling. I put in an SSD and now it is very fast with Ubuntu.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
