Takes great video, mic. is to sensative when riding with a helmet speaker. Picks up nothing but wind most of the time. Okay if you are sitting still or only going around 15 mph can you talk into helmet mic. If you can figure out how to get rid of the wind noises this would be a top notch video camera. Tried everything that was suggested on YouTube but nothing worked.

Camera arrived right on-time for my once in a lifetime trip. The camera worked flawlessly but the buttons were stiff (being new) and the menus took some getting used to. I'm sure those things will improve with time and use. I'm not really happy with the remote control bracelet thing. It was exceedingly difficult to pair-up to the camera and I was never sure - even with the color coding scheme - what mode I was actually photographing in. I gave up on it and just used the buttons on top of the camera. It seems well built and tough. I really like the form factor and compact size. I expect I'll get a lot of use for this camera and even do as the camera suggests when I turn it off. The final screen says,"Get out there." I like it.
I am disappointed with the sound quality. I assume an external mic would improve the sound but who wants to be troubled with that? The battery life is poor IMO. I use it bow hunting and leave it on stand-by to be activated with the remote. I hunted with it yesterday. Turned on at 6:50am, hunted to 10am, returned to the field at 2pm and the battery was at 1/3 remaining power. It shut off at 4:30pm due to dead battery. I did record about 5 minutes around 9am otherwise it was all in stand-by mode. Fish-eye lens makes objects beyond 30 yards pretty vague. I took a deer at 35 yards and the video is ho-hum. I'm not sure if dialing FOV down from 170° to 90° would improve this or not (this is an optional setting). Rotatable lens is an awesome feature allowing you can get video regardless of mounted orientation. Even though I haven't used it, wi-fi to a phone is a good idea too. My guess is wi-fi will kill the battery even faster though. You must press VERY hard on the buttons to make them work. I assume this is due to being water-proof to ~9 feet depth. I haven't used a GoPro so can't compare to it. I thought the Ghost was a better value so I purchased it instead.Read full review
i haven't used it to its full power but for now i'm very happy with it, very easy to use, great picture, video quality. easy to work with remote also. great product.
Bought this to use on my motorcycle for some of my rides and for a trip we are taking across country. Very easy to use and excellent quality video. Tried the Drift version of the 720 camera and it was poor quality video. The HD Ghost is a thousand times better. Great remote for starting and stopping the recording and after seeing many side by side comparisons of videos from the top sports cameras this one really does outperform. Love this camera
