Elevate your professional graphics experience with the Dell NVIDIA Quadro 4000 Graphics Card, a powerhouse of a card that delivers exceptional rendering and calculation capabilities. With 2GB of GDDR5 memory and support for DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.0, CUDA, and Shader Model 5.0, it's equipped to handle complex software with ease. The Quadro 4000 offers multiple connectivity options including DisplayPort, DVI-I, and DVI, ensuring compatibility with a variety of display devices. Moreover, it's SLI/CrossFire ready, providing the potential for multi-GPU setups. With a PCI Express 3.0 x16, PCI, and PCI Express 2.0 x16 compatible slot, installation is straightforward, and the included fan with heatsink ensures the card stays cool during intense computations or renderings.
While the Nvidia Quadro 4000 series GPUs are quite dated by industry standards these were purchased for a specific purpose - to match them with older SDI video capture hardware in a Dell Precision T7500 dual processor work station for live streaming of video. I can't recommend them for "budget gaming" because they are just too slow for that and there are so many better options out there within or near the same price point for a card like this on the used market. These are not SLI capable and were based on the PCIe 2.0 standard so you're not going to get the performance of an even slightly newer card. Having said that - when used in conjunction with the PNY video rendering hardware and lots of RAM these cards can perform some pretty amazing things and are serious work horses when pushed to their limits.
