After disappearing for 9 years, STP have returned, now they're fortysomething fathers, but they still rock out hardcore. This album has all the STP trademarks - Dean DeLeo's loud, buzzing guitar riffs, crashing drums, beautiful sing-along harmonies, and Scott Weiland's raspy growl. This album is a bit brighter and more optimistic than their previous releases, but it's still the same kind of hard rock STP have always been known for. You can hear echoes of The Beatles and Led Zeppelin as usual, but I also think this album has a profound David Bowie influence that's very welcome. I'm glad they've returned.
A great album. STP has evolved into a more upbeat, less "grungy" band over the years. This cd is quite a departure from the "Dead and Bloated" sound of the 90's. It's bright, clear and more of a feel good cd vice a mosh pit cd. As you listen to it, you can hear the influences of Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. If you're 40 something, and desperately in need of some new rock, this is the cd for you.
Great rocking music

This CD has a good vibe. Very eclectic sounding with 70's rock and country influences in modern rock songs. Very good songwriting by the DeLeo brothers.
