In this exclusive 88 minute DVD premiere, featuring brand new, never before seen content, Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, is distracted from his plans for world domination when he sees a man who looks just like him on television. Convinced that this man must be his real father (after all, how could he possibly share genetic material with the dimwitted Peter?), Stewie sets off on a cross-country road trip to find him. But his incredible journey leads him to discoveries far more vile and shocking that anything found in his diaper.
Before I start my review I just want to say... ANY ONE THAT SAYS THAT THIS MOVIE IS NOT GOOD DOSE NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. When I first herd about this movie. I went on ebay and read some reviews. some were good but most of them were'nt. So I bought the movie and Im glad i did. it is great! I was laughing like every 5 mins. the comedy is well kept up and put togeather like in the orgional series. The movie starts off showing the girffin family along with others going to the premer of the movie that they made that just came out. they all walk down a red carpet, have interviews and then sit down and thats when the "Actual" movie starts. its the first 15 mins of the movie and those first 15 mins was the only part of the movie that I diddnt like. They could have left that out. but when the actual movie starts. its smooth sailing. the Bonus features wernt that good either. Not good at all actually. So the movie gets a good because of the first 10-15 mins of the movie. Glad I bought it on ebay and got a great deal for a great price! So like I said before ANY ONE THAT SAYS THAT THIS MOVIE IS NOT GOOD DOSE NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. Go get it ..you wont be disapointed!Read full review
I am an avid watcher of the Family Guy series and think that it is one of the best adult cartoon comedy series ever made, but I was somewhat disappointed in the Stewie movie. It has a great story line where Stewie is seeking out who he thinks to be his real father after a life changing incident at the community pool. Brian accompanies him throughout his journey. It is definitely worth renting once, but to add to a collection...not worth it to me. There are quite a few very funny lines and scenes in the show, but to me it just did not capture the true essence of the Family Guy show. I would save up and buy the Family Guy Seasons Series and let this one alone, but if you are a true fanatic and must have everythig done by Family Guy, go ahead and rent it first.
Let's face it: Family Guy was never meant to be a movie. Sure, it's hilarious, but it's only hilarious because of its strange digressions about Shannon Doherty's eyes. To make a movie out of a show as awkwardly funny as it is just doesn't seem right. The movie is three TV episodes with a similar theme, which is more like the same episode written and directed by different people. Its irrelevant humor is the only shining quality to the movie. You will undoubtedly go in with great expectations; unfortunately, you'll be let down just like I was. This "movie" is worth about $10, nothing more.
For those who do not know or just do not care, Family Guy is a runaway hit for a good reason. True some of the plots do touch on the edge of tasteless but, still you wonder how the story manages to insult everyone and manage to make us laugh at the same time. The Griffin family is NOT a normal American household and maybe that is the reason many of us find it funny. The Simpsons have kept us laughing for years and Family Guy just continues to do the same thing at a different level. I can't help it, I love the baby, Stewie. Just don't turn your back on him.
Funniest. Television. Show. Period. And Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story is an unrated, 90 minute family guy movie. Can it get any better? Its heaven if you ask me... Seth McFarlane's Family Guy is the funniest show on television - and it has been for years. Its quickly developed a cult following that is stronger and larger than the Simpsons'. The Family Guy aired on Fox in 1999 immediately following the Super Bowl and received wild attention - though not positive - among the media for its raunchiness and controversial material. After Fox's cancellation in 2002, the Family Guy Season 1 was released on DVD in 2003 and has been wildly successful since. Two years later, the Family Guy DVD is still in high demand on eBay (where it can be purchased for a fraction of the $49.99 retail price) and its still in the top 100 list on Amazon.com. The Family Guy Season 1 DVD was so successful, a subsequent DVD was released and the show was re-picked up on Fox and currently airs on Sunday Nights. The Family Guy follows the Griffins who live in Quahog, Rhode Island and appear to be a normal suburban family. The specific Griffins are each unique: The father Peter Griffin is fat, lazy, raunchy and a simpleton (think Homer Simpson). Daughter Meg Griffin is a homely, unsophisticated 15-year old. Chris Griffin is a 13-year old version of his father. Baby Stewie is a sophisticated big-thinker with plans to overtake the world - the only problem is that only his dog Brian can hear him. Brian on the other hand drinks martinis, dates women, and reeks of sarcasm. The true humor within Family Guy is the writing. Seth McFarlane has a knack for social commentary and sarcasm - attacking anything relevant to current events, pop culture, or the likes... and he does so in on-the-border / is-it-offensive? manners. But make no mistake - while the on-air episodes are borderline offensive, this DVD is unrated and swings for the fences. Just the way Family Guy was written to be =)Read full review
Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story I didn't expect this movie to be very good, most of the time cartoon feature films aren't. But Family Guy hit the nail on the head with this... by splitting the movie into 3 seperate episodes they made it easy to stay fresh while keeping with a similar story. The Untold Story features some of the funniest scenes I've ever witnessed in a cartoon. Final Verdict: 5/5 Rent or Buy?: If you're a fan of the Family Guy series youc an't go wrong here. I've watched this DVD 10-15 times, and you will too. IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. Thank you.
The hilariously irreverent and enormously popular animated series THE FAMILY GUY expands to a feature-length movie in order to explore the true origins of maniacal baby genius Stewie Griffin. Seth MacFarlane's family of losers and misfits, headed up by bumbling dad Peter, was deemed too controversial by FOX and ended after an all-too-brief run, only to return to the channel by popular demand. It all starts out with Stewie's near-death experience, after which, shaken and questioning his life, the baby goes on a drinking binge. He resurfaces only when he sees on TV a man who looks just like him, and it dawns on him that this is his real father. Stewie embarks upon a road trip, intending to get to the bottom of it all, while meanwhile Peter is fired from his job for being a bad parent. A must-see for fans and neophytes alike, the movie delivers what audiences have been wanting all along: more FAMILY GUY!Read full review
I bought the movie as a Christmas gift for a Family Guy fan. If you like the Family Guy series on Fox then you will enjoy this movie which explores, in its usual irreverant manner, how Stewie came to be Stewie...it is largely very entertaining, but at almost 1 1/2 hours its a little long and at times the "funniness" gets mired down...however, its a great investment for those who love Peter, Stewie, and the rest of the crazy family!!!
The easiest and best way to sum up what this movie is, is to say that it's really nothing more than a 90 minute episode of the television show. Does this mean it's not worth watching or getting? - OF COURSE NOT! If anyone was thinking that, they should smack themselves! This really is just 90 straight minutes of typical Family Guy humor. There's the usual off the wall, slapstick, raunchy, mocking humor that you'll find in any given episode of the show. The only thing people might find a bit of a turn off is that it says it's unrated or something, when in actuality there is only a bad word here or there. So it's really not that much more over the top than the show is. Still, ANY Family Guy fan will love this movie!
