Stand and Deliver does exactly what the title states.
I had always wanted to be a teacher, and these 2 movies are certainly most inspiring. Stand and Deliver is about a Hispanic teacher who takes a class of "future delinquents" and turns them into amazing math wizards. This in spite of all the barriers these kids face. Edward James Olmos and Lou Diamond Phillips star. In Lean on Me, Morgan Freeman gives an Oscar-worthy performance as a strict principal standing up for his school and students in a poor area.
