A value for protection.
This is one of those things you don’t know you need until a power surge knocks out your expensive digital thermostat. After a big snowstorm knocked out power, when it came back on we had a series of surges that took out our thermostat. I bought this to prevent that from happening again. Only time will tell if I made the right choice. Hopefully I will never have to find out.
