I have used several different crossbow scopes over the years and I would rate this scope in the top two. I purchased this Vortex scope to use on a Tenpoint Stealth NXT crossbow, and I must say the scope and rings that were included are first rate. I followed the instructions using a level and a torque wrench I shot one arrow at 6 yds. and it was damn close, then moved to 20 yds. and then got it shooting dead nuts at 40 yds with the power ring on 7 power I shot 3 arrows in less than an inch. I have brand new 60X string and cables installed, while my is rated for 410 FPS. I set the speed dial on 400 and used the same 3 arrows to shoot at 80 yds. those hit about a inch and a half high so I move the speed dial to where I thought 410 should be and it hit perfect. Two weeks later I was at our archery range and I put 10 different arrows in about 2 1/2" circle with this set-up. using a sand bag rest. The recticle took a minute to get used to, but I like how the yardage numbers light up as well as the aiming points. I have herd people have a problem with seeing the numbers, I think the objective lense is out of focus for them. Just turn the focus looking at a white wall or the blue sky and adjust ubtil you can easily read the numbers. I also love there are no clicks of different brightness, there are just one smooth turn from off to full bright. Even the free hat is top notch quality!!Read full review

I have been a Nikon fan for a long time. WOW, I have been missing out. For a crossbow scope, this is real nice. The optics are just fantastic. I shoot a crossbow with a chronograph at 413 labs. I have it sighted to 60 yards. It's all the distance I had. I held a three inch pattern from a "not so sturdy" platform but I was guite happy with those results. Just a fantastic scope. Once you have your twenty yard set, the further back you go, the more accurate it becomes. The graduations are spot on. The optics are crystal clear. The lighted reticle works great. I love how the intensity adjustment works, just like a dimmer. It is very easy to adjust the windage and elevation. Nice sturdy dust caps. A real nice scope for the money.

Nice and bright scope, knobs click and marked, every thing looks good. Only negative, The reticle font is so small and thin for the yardage marker that it is hard to read, you can still count down, there is a mark for every 10yds. The Flip side to that is the reticle marks hardly interfere with target vision. The illumination is too bright, helps wash the reading of the marks on any thing but the lowest setting. If i remember to turn it off everythime. The settings should allow the battery to last forever. I wear reading glasses.

I got this a couple hours ago and to say that I am impressed is an understatement. I zeroed it at 6 yards and at 40, then moved back to 80 and set the zoom focus to 4 (380 FPS). I shot two bolts and adjusted the focus until my 80 yard dot moved from the bullseye to the bolts. I fired another couple of bolts and made a smaller adjustment, I then proceeded to fire from 100 yards to 10 using the points of aim and I was consistently hitting all targets. I am truly happy with this scope.

Bright optic. Easy to mount and easy to sight in. I have a Barrett Crossbow. It came with useless optic.
