Love this grip
I have this brand of rubber grip on a XD40 and now a PT1911 and they are awesome grips . They really do take out alot of felt recoil . It was a tight fit on the Taurus PT1911 but I was able to make it work , like I said a bit tricky and tight . I had to do both sides at tne same time and put some muscle in it but it worked . Also had to trim with a razor knife where the safety lightly hits the top of the grip , just a little , use the original grip as a template , it is only due to the larger than normal safety on the Taurus PT1911. Perfect fit on Ruger Night Watchmen!
Perfect fit and a huge improvement over the stock grips. I almost did not order these because of the beautiful stock grips. Glad I did, its like a whole new gun. It fits perfectly in my hand now with a much more comfortable feel. Installation was a breeze and it went right on in about three minutes. Hogue 1911 Rubber Grips

Rubber grip with finger grooves
I have used these and ones just like them for forty years. On a 1911 with the grips that come with the gun after three or four rounds the gun will start to turn in your hand, and you start to lose your grip.. Hard to stay on target. With these that does not happen. You can shoot a mag of 7 or 8 rounds and gun stays in place. Anyone that shoots a 1911 be it a 45 ACP like I do or the 9MM you need these Grips... SECURE GRIP
These grips make the 1911 a little fuller, and the grooves help to create a secure grip. Firing standard 230 grain ammo, after adding the grips, my five-shot groups went from 6" at 20 yards to all five shots in the same hole at 200 yards. Either that, or I only hit the target once at two hundred yards. Not really sure, I was pretty hammered at the time, and all the people running around and screaming may have affected my aim. 1911 Handle Grips made by Houge
This indeed one of the nicest and most useful products I have ever bought for my 1911. I love my 1911 and I am very picky as to what goes in it and on it. Hogue 45000 rubber grips
It is rare that I comment on online purchases. I will make an exception here though. I handled a used Colt 1911 Combat Commander at a local gun show . It was equipped with the Hogue 45000 grips.
