Great stuff, but make sure you have <6Ah batteries for full options.
This is a great product with excellent output. The only problem is literally if you're a power user and have the 6.0+ XL batteries. These batteries, when attached, protrude outside the below the black grabber/magnet area. Not a big deal in many cases, but if you're thinking of using it under a vehicle hood or something, it makes it difficult to mount. But YES, the magnets are strong enough to hold it, even with an M18 (as long as its 5.0 Ah size or smaller (no XL)....9.0 definitely protruded out and made placement harder,as well as being heavier). The light is position-able in several different ways thanks to its unique design. It can be positioned at any angle, but it does have an end point where it stops twisting (but ok if you twist from other direction to that point). The Mode button on the side also controls 3 different levels of light luminosity. Magnet holds really well and the grabber function works better than I thought. I can have this hanging on a counter, off a rail, I can put it under a vehicle hood magnetically, or I can lay under a car with it face up or on its side with the light faced up for more throw. The light is pretty Bright! We have some of the smaller 12v ones at work that the batteries last longer thru-out the day! Great! Everything you could want in a floodlight.
This is a very versatile flood light. It works great for construction projects or anywhere you need plenty of light. With a larger battery (i.e. 5 amp hour) it will last all day, depending on the brightness setting. It has 3 brightness settings via a "mode" pushbutton and a dedicated on/off button. The light emitter swings out and swivels. There is a spring loaded clamp that secures the unit to a stud or rafter, and also a magnet for securing it to a steel beam or the like.
