Good value, but needs a little TLC
This package is a reasonably good value for the cost and quality. Easy enough to assemble the boxes with dovetailed joints if the wood hasn’t warped, which can be a problem with dovetails cut a long time before assembly, since different humidity and temperatures between manufacture and assembly can change dimensions enough to make precision joinery a tad iffy. I really can’t identify the Chinese wood type, but looks and smells similar to North American white cedar. The downside of the wood is that the box sides often are made with up to 3 boards glued together, unlike any domestic boxes I’m familiar with. How these will fare over time is questionable. The top and inner cover joints should be reinforced with screws, since the lightweight staples used won’t hold up under use. While obvious for the price, it should be noted that the “complete hive” doesn’t include frames and foundation. To complete the hive a buyer will need 40 medium and 10 deep frames, plus the same amount of comb foundation. For durability, the box joints should be glued and screwed, with exposed end grain sealed before painting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap Chinese quality (see photos)
Items made in China with no quality control. Hard to match and there are some gaps when assembled. Floors will split easy. They can not hold 100lb, Too week. Dove tails joints do not match on many of them and sides are splitting. Covers are splitting at steel sheet connection with wood. Some sides were deformed already and can not match. Will not recommend at all.

I have a very successful swarm in it's it made it through the winter very strong and sturdy only thing I changed on it instead of the nails I used small screws hold it together better than than males specially for the frames when loaded with honey and pollen to have a tendency to stick and fall apart that's the only downside to it other than that it's a very good beehive well made and already have plans to order one within the next few weeks of this post it's already in my car very great Quality Inn just change nails to screws that's the only thing I recommend to do other than that everything fit together perfect I give this 5 stars and it would be nice to include a brochure with every purchase of your product to show what you offer and we can order direct from you look forward to my next purchase of the same hive and further purchases from here onVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Working with this team for the first time, I would say it was a smooth process. One of the packages was damaged and they worked expeditiously to help me get it resolved. Good quality, with a few mistakes here and there.
Only four stars because a few minor issues with these beehives kept cropping up. I bought four hives. None had enough nails to finish the framing, fortunately, I had finishing nails on hand. Also, one hive came with an extra medium frame backing, and lacked a deep frame backing. I made do by gluing the shorter backing in the frame to see what the bees will make of it. And one of the box panels had its handhold carved into the wrong side. These are minor issues, but it shows that these hives are affordable because the quality is not exaclty exceptional. Good Bee Hive Kit
I'd given it a 5 star review if it came with nails and had better ventilation. The wood was fresh and the kit was put together with minimal difficulty. The bottom board has no ventilation olther than the entrance, and the inside cover had no ventilation for the top. What a shame
Sorry not this time for some reason the builder chose to use bad wood and send it to me. No screws No nails. I had to go and purchase glue and nails to repair cracked mildewy, damaged wood, not a big fan the idea was to buy American products and with you being in Tennessee I thought great even if I had to drive to get it not so far away.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good beehive for the cost
It's a good hive overall, though I will say one of my pieces wasn't routed correctly so I had to trim of wood myself to get the hive together.
