Perio Support for your pet
It is very expensive to get your pets' teeth cleaned, especially when there are extractions. I started using this stuff a little over a year ago right after we got a dog from the shelter and had her teeth cleaned. Little dogs are notorious for tooth decay and require constant attention. The Vet recommended this stuff to us, and we started putting it in their food daily. Well, it has been a year, and that rescue dog just went to the vet to get her teeth cleaned. There were no extractions required, and the cleaning cost half of what it normally cost me for my other dogs. The other two dogs will not go for their next dental cleaning visit until February, so then I will have a better understanding of the product's benefit. I am hoping it is the product that is keeping the teeth and gums healthy. An additional piece of information...This stuff does not work by itself. The dogs must chew something to help remove the plaque build up. I put the recommended amount of Perio Support in their wet food. We leave a couple of bowls of hard food on the floor for them to munch on during the day. It is that hard food that is supposed to be removing the plaque that the Perio Support has prepared for removal...that's how I understand it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I've had dogs all my life. I've paid lots of money for dental cleanings and have wondered about the invasive process, especially once periodontal problems are apparent. I decided to try this product to see if we could have as good or better result without an invasive cleaning. So far, so good. Tally's mouth and gums appear to have healed and are 'normal pink.' I am hoping to avoid dental cleanings for a while longer than normal, or none at all if this continues to show improvement. 'We' also brush consistently so the two preventative measures are working together. Our Vet recommended the product, reluctantly, as I would not quickly agree to the invasive cleaning. Excellent product for tartar control
Our dog was developing tartar on some of his teeth, and the vet recommended Perio Support. We give our dog dry kibble, and the powder does a surprisingly good job of clinging to the pieces. What's more, he loves the taste and licks up the remainder after eating the kibble (he's a fussy spaniel, so this is quite impressive). It has had an immediate impact on lessening the tartar that was there and stopping more from forming. We were pleasantly surprised!
