Battery powered a plus
Me and my buddy play at a nursing home with its own sound system behind locked doors. Two microphones with no volume controls are set up for us to play through. I use this to give us four microphones in all, with three volume controls. I don't even have to worry about finding a outlet to plug it into, because it works off two 9vdc batteries also. I drilled and tapped two holes in the bottom so that it could be mounted to a mic stand adapter. Then all I need to do is mount it right to their mic stand. It takes less than five minutes to set up everything to play right through their sound system. Love it.
