Good inexpensive high carbon knife. High Carbon makes it easier to sharpen and it will hold it's edge a little better than most types of stainless steel knives. It will rust if you don't take care of it and the handle is a little rough but still a good deal for the price. Much better than most cheap chinese knives that are pretty much garbage.

I finally opened up this tool when my copper one went ( handle broke) I was able to trim a brisket perfectly. Also was great on cutting steaks. Even if you don’t cut your own meat this knife is great.

This is a traditional wood handled butcher knife with a carbon steel full tang blade. I have the 7" and 10" sizes and they go well with my cast iron ovens and skillets. It is the perfect tool for camping and grilling. I like to bring solid chunks of smoked bacon on camping trips, and this knife slices it as thick or thin as I want. It is easy to sharpen and excels at slicing vegetables and meat. As with any carbon steel knife at any price, if you dry the knife after each use and wipe a little cooking oil on the blade and handle and sharpen gently, it will last for decades. If you're on the fence...just do it!

I like these knives for their quality and simplicity. They are made of a good carbon steel. I use them to modify and make into blades that I can use for various outdoor activities. The price is right for this type of modification and use. The blades are a little thin, but that is what you would expect for a knife that is designed for butchering.
