Have rebellion?, you need this expansion!
A great expansion to a great game! This adds more characters, ships, cards, and structures in content. The necessary improvement is with combat and this expansion does it well. Variety with green dice adds minor skills and alternative outcomes in battle. Using characters do limit the randomness a bit and makes battles feel more epic (in victory). The only drawback is with the initial setup. The expansion cards have a marker to differentiate it from the core set. You must organize and replace cards to start using the expansion. Oh... and it is best played with 2 and only 2. (There is a solo variant available, but it requires a lot of dice rolls/coin flip for AI play) If you love strategy, star wars, just epic galactic play, this is the game for you. There are alternatives if you wish for strictly space combat as star wars armada (capital ships)or star wars x-wing(2nd edition, fighters). For ground combat you may consider star wars legion (40k miniatures) or star wars imperial assault (board game). Great expansion
Great expansion and definitely a "must be" for fans of the original game. Not only it brings additional leaders (Krennick, Jyn Erso, Jabba and others), units and missions, it also changes some of the core mechanics (new "cinematic" combat resolution in which tactic values of leaders finally have some real meaning). Focused on the Rogue One episode, players now have more possibilities and strategies - for example Empire can lock Death Star plans on a remote planet (and until they are stolen by Rebels, Death Star plans card cannot be used) and Rebels can raid imperial outposts or reveal their base for significant reputation gain. In general this expansion slightly favours Rebels, but both sides will benefit additional fun.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
