Good fan, but not as good as the old Lakewood fans.
Firstly, this is a bit nicer in many ways from the generic base model white Lasko I could have purchased from Home Depot. That said, the feet didn't want to slode on, and sheet metal on the bottom of the fan was far from flat. It has some aesthetic construction quality issues, which mostly just affected installation of the feet. Tell yourself "this is still a cheap box fan" and you'll be happy. It really does seem to work 20% better than the standard fans they make. I'd say that it's all around, 20% better made then their cheapest model of box fan. But no more than that. I paid a little over 20% more for it, so I'm satisfied.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Second purchase but some issues this time Big issues
I have only used one so far and it works fine after I took it apart and the blade was hitting the electrical wire to speed control . But when you change speed 123 the speed stays same. The first fan stopped working in less than a week. replaced it with second hoping for better results. After 2 days started wobbling and making noise. One left to try. The reason i bought 3 was because the 2 i purchased before were so great. Obviously i will not be buying anymore. A Walmart box fan would be better,and last longer. sorry for trusting LASKO never again. Update had to through first fan in trash,Replaced it with second one..... lasted 1 week and came apart.Fan separated from motor shaft.Please save your money buy American fan.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Only one issue
I like this fan as it does a good job of moving the air and gets it across the room. My issue is that it is pretty loud, even on low. The thermostat is cool., it really does work. I'm not going to use it in the location that I had initially bought it for but, because it works so well otherwise, I'm keeping it and will use it else where.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Soooo much better than the white one!
This fan has most of the same features as the white Weather-Shield fan, but it is sooo much better. I have it set in a doorway that allows for air to circulate from the master bedroom, through the master bath and into the utility room. It draws the cooler air from the living room into the master bedroom, like a perfect circle. The thermostat works very reliably to shut off when it is cool enough. Not super quiet, but it works so well that it doesn't matter. On low it moves more than enough air for my needs. I have two of the white ones, one of which is about 10 years old.
