As a string moves and vibrates against a String Saver saddle, a thin Teflon film is created which eases the grip of the saddle on the string and microscopically spreads the stress over a greater portion of the string.

awesome product easy to install keeps you from breaking strings and they sound a little better than Gibson Saddles should of done this years ago

graph tech for nice warm crunch
I think they sound really good, but I would say the nut is more important to the overall tone. I almost always use the graphtech nuts. I've been using their nuts and saddles and sting trees for 23-24 yrs now.
