    Perfect for Beginners/Professionals!

Bought this because my D3300 broke. Ended up liking this model more. Lots of features. Easy to use. Perfect picture quality. A great addition to any photographer's camera collection, whether you're just starting out or if you've been at it for a while. Also, so much cheaper than BestBuy. Awesome that it came with a 1 year warranty too! If you need a camera or lenses but don't want to drain the bank, this is the place to go to! I highly recommend this camera. Thanks again!

    Worthless GPS

I love Nikon Cameras. I purchased the d5300 because it had an on board gps. What a colossal joke that was. Never picked up a signal on the gps in any attempt regardless of weather or location. Then came the usual return hassle. The images are fine, but again, I bought for the highly recommended gps. Makes me question the honesty of Nikon.

  • NIKON D5300- Excellent product for serious/ amateur photographer

Purchased this product as an upgrade and replacement from a 12 year old Nikon D70 Camera arrived from seller in excellent/ new, condition and an original instruction manual was also included. This was much appreciated Nikon offers excellent software which can be dowloaded onto your MAC/ PC to allow real tie transfer and editing of the photos I create The camera is extremely llite weight and accommodates most of Nikons newer digiral lens offerings I was comparing this camera to a Canon and Nikons own D3400. I think the price point and additional features of the 5300 made this the better choice I could not justify the $100 additional cost of buying Nikons latest version in this series--- the D5600, as the differences between the models were just too small Meantime I am making excellent pictures and short videos that I can view on my Sony 4K res TV Nikon's own direct technical support is also excellent if there are any further questions that need to be covered--

  • Great Camera

This camera is my fourth Nikon. I am never disappointed with the Nikon brand. The camera is user friendly with all the buttons and controls within easy access. The picture quality is awesome. I have not done a scheduled shoot with this camera as I am still putting together all the accessories. I have an SB-24 and an SB-22; both in mint condition. Unfortunately, the only setting I can use with either of them is manual even though both flashes have TTL capabilities. Overall a great camera and probably my last one. Well worth the money and investment.

  • Good purchase but a few things to note

This is a great deal, but one thing to note is that when I received this kit, the remote control didn't work, and the tripod was really crappy. This is still an awesome purchase and I am happy with it, but it's something to know. Now if you have a smartphone with a IR Sensor, like my LG G5, you can still remotely take pictures with an app just like how the remote was supposed to. Kinda handy, so overall I am happy.

  • Great camera with a good kit

The whole set works really well and the camera is great with a lot of nice features. We decided to get this camera kit because it cost the same or less than getting professional photos and we can obviously use it more than once. Being able to take pictures with your phone is great especially with live view because you can see what picture you're going to get (you can turn on and off live view on your phone if you want to for some reason). The remote works great as well and is easier to hide so it's just preference on how you want to take pictures with no one else around to help. I read some reviews where they said the remote didn't work, but I think it might be user error, but if you YouTube it there are videos showing how easy it is to set up. That goes along with the rest of the camera's functions; just look up the many instructional videos and follow along. The tripod is kind of crappy as well because it doesn't spread out wide, but it will work and won't fall over as long as there isn't a strong wind gust. Overall this is a great kit for new users and everything easily fits inside the bag it comes with except for the tripod. After researching other kits I would choose this one because it has the most equipment you'll actually use for the least price.

  • Nikon5300

I have just begun to use the camera but so far it seems fairly easy to learn and set up. Using the transfer software requires reading the help section. Some softwares I have used are so straight forward they don't require reading instructions. For example if you want to save an image to a particular location on your computer there is no immediate option on the Nikon to just click "save as." Other camera software I use does have that option. The camera itself seems to be quite easy to learn.

  • I love it

I upgraded to this from a D80, and the differences are astounding. Of course, with the increased resolution, I expected better quality, but it is way better than i anticipated. The learning curve was minimal, going from the D80 to this. The lcd is excellent - i love that it folds away to protect the screen - and the increased size over the D80 display is also a plus. I didn't think I'd use the wi-fi, but i do a little astrophotography, and being able to control it from my tablet for nighttime tripod mounted shooting with a long lens has turned out to be a very nice feature. It helps with manual focusing, and of course provides the same stability advantages of a standard wireless trigger. A really excellent camera.

  • Good Starter Camera

I have had the chances to use a few other DSLR's, like the T6i, T5i, T2i, and a Nikon D5100. Overall, Im glad I made this purchase. At the time I bought mine, it was selling for about $670ish. The accessories included with this kit was okay. The bag is decent sized and has enough space to put the 55-200mm lens in it along with a few other things. The screen protector isn't really all that great, but it'll do its job. Tripod is decent, it'll hold the camera pretty still, as I used it for astro photography and the picture turned out pretty good. Haven't used the table top tripod, but mine came missing one of the rubber feet. Wide angle lens and Telephoto lens are not all that. Same with the flash, really no difference with the built in flash. SD card case is decent. Overall, this is a pretty decent kit, but do note that most of the accessories are low quality, some get the job done, some are pretty useless. Camera and both of the lens overall are a wonderful kit. Both give out sharp images with pretty good aperture. Im no pro but with some knowledge on how to frame a picture, it'll give out good images.
