  • Great scope!

I bought this for birding, and am really pleased with it so far! It is quite large and is a bit unwieldy, but with a good sturdy tripod it isn't hard to use. I LOVE the dual focus knob! The picture is clear and crisp even at 67x magnification. I wanted to use it for digiscoping, and have had mixed results. It was difficult to use with a DSLR, but I am able to get some decent shots with a phone held up to the eyepiece - just takes a little fiddling to get it lined up right. I attached a few pictures, all taken with my iphone 5s. The first two are at 22x mag. and the third - of rare Ross's Geese - was at 67x I believe. It comes with a carrying case which is nice but looks a bit flimsy. We'll see how long it holds up.

  • Seems sharp across the field

It's a large scope, however not that heavy. If you want to carry in a backpack, it had better be a large one for it to fit. Excellent for daytime use as a spotting scope. Seems clear across the field. I've read that it's not easy to digiscope. I've read that it's not that good for astronomy. However, I don't plan to use it for either, so no tried.

  • A great spotting scope!

A great spotting scope with 100mm opening for bright images and long zoom 22-67X for closer look . It´s big and heavy though, so you will need a sturdy tripod! Comes with a strong protective case and T2 adapter for your camera.Excellent for birdwatching!
