Look Ma, no holes!
Often when doing a bass drum rebuild, you're faced with spur holes that don't quite match up with your intended upgrade. Well, look no further! The DW SM224 Clamp-on spur set ends any frustration over how to approach new spurs for your bass drum. Why? Because they simply and efficiently "clamp" on the hoop. Straight forward. With plenty of stability, too. You still have to figure how you're going to fill those holes (I recommend covering them over with a thin, strong layer under your new wrap). The only down side I see is having to remove them every time you put the bass drum in a case, as the clamp "sticks out" a few inches and may wear out your soft cases in that spot, if they fit at all. Hard cases may not have that problem if large enough. In any case, it's a minor "con" in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
