    Cheap but works

Definitely not the best on the market. Has a very gritty feel to it and comes with a very odd type of grease in it. Once I sprayed all the cheap grease out of it, it works decently for the price. If your not looking to spend a lot then I recommend it. If it's something you will use quite a bit then I'd get a better one.

  • Top critical review

Crude, rude and $40, great value!

there are several limitations, the top slide only covers half the slide before the handle interferes, the castings are crude, the screws are sloppy it would never make a power-feed but for quick, easy drill-press milling it's great or at least plenty good enough.

  • A crude piece of metal.

We never expected to receive a precision 3 cross slide vise; but this piece is so out of measurements, very-very poorly finished, holes out of center, slides of different widths, and the material cut in such a gross-raw way, that 1 star is too much because it goes beyond comprehension on how neither any minimum quality control may have had. We spent hours grinding and sanding this little piece of metal to make it workable, because we know sending it back will be a similar headache and thus can be used for clamping.

  • It's okay

First time using a vise like this ,, it worked for what I needed it for but it's not for fine precision milling, the adjustment mechanisms are not suited for fine milling, greased all moving areas for smoother operation, used blocks of wood on sides of a taller piece I was milling to keep stable , the clamping part is pretty low, just grabs the bottom inch or so of the part your working on, all in all I got my part done and I'm sure it would have been a lot harder to do without this vise,,

  • Great for the money

This is not a precision machining vise, but it is tight and works very well for small projects. I have not had any issues with it functionally and it has been a great little vise for my small projects. For the money, you can't beat it.

  • Worth giving it a try

This vice worked out pretty good for a few projects. Mounted to a drill press. The machine could handle light milling work. For heavier milling the vice showed it had a lot of play in the screws travel. But I paid $20 so it was worth every penny

  • NICE VISE

It's not intended to be machine shop quality and able to achieve close tolerance work.. For that you need to go into the hundreds and maybe thousands of $$. But for everyday DIY type work around the house and the occasional milling out an eighty percent lower, this will be fine. Unit came in fine shape.. tightened up a couple nuts on it and lubed the threads and sliding surfaces with Zero-Friction oil (great stuff, get some) and it is nice and smooth.

  • Two way milling.

It is ok for small jobs that don't need precission milling. I used it for milling a P80 80% Micro Polymer AR-15 lower receiver. On a scale of 1-100 I Would give it a 89% good revuew.

  • Great for the price!

Added 3d printed anti-backlash nuts for the lead screws, cleaned up the handles and lined up the vice jaws. Really the best deal for this level of cross slide.

  • Title is required ok.

It seems to have almost no play in the table I did have to adjust the shims in both directions which I thought should be done at the assembly time.
