Excellent steel that takes and holds a razor edge in a nearly indestructible inexpensive body!
It is an excellent, inexpensive folding knife. I have had one for over thirty years and the blade takes holds a razor - sharp edge (which I test by shaving my forearm) . The composition body has lasted with no signs of damage or significant wear. That is why I just bought three more, since I like to have one for each set of pants. My favorite knife has always been the Gerber Harsey Air-Ranger, but they no longer make them the way they used to. I needed a couple of spare knives in case I lose one (I am an old man and such things happen). My one Ka-Bar Dozier has held its own with the Gerber knives, so it was the natural to buy now since the Gerber knife was no longer what I like.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

An Almost Great Design
I really like the design of this knife. It is lightweight and easy to sharpen. The only downside of this knife is it is very hard to open with one hand. I think it would have performed much better with a bearing or bushing at the blade pivot. maybe it will get better with use, but I have tried various oil and lubes but it is still stiff.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Quality and Value Knife
The blade is thick and designed well, the blade was sharp , when i got it ran a steal on both sides of the blade , it took the burr off, the belt clip could be a bit wider, but works well enough for the money. What a great EDC!
Though my modest collection of folding knives totals about fifteen, there's two or three that I find myself carrying the most, and the Dozier Folding hunter is in that select group. I find the size of it ideal for my urban living, and it is light enough to disappear in one's pocket. Though I usually prefer a FFG, the hollow grind of this Dozier works just fine for most tasks.
