I bought the Canon image CLASS MF4770n All-In-One Laser Printer first because its a laser printer and I always wanted one, next is because of the price that can't be beat. I have it and use it often; was easy to set up with easy instructions with installation CD. I love the load capacity and how easy it responds to my computer; so for the item's design, functionality and capacity I give 5 stars. The only down side to this item is it doesn't have direct memory card ports; but I really don't need it because I use my computer for that! That being said, I highly recommend this item at this price! To be ably to send and receive fax, scan, copy, and print for this price is absolutely incredible! I bought this for my Daughters who would be going to college. Several things I wanted: first, Laser printer; second, the flatbed scanner; third, USB/Ethernet, this has all these things. This will be their workhorse for years to come. The set up was very easy, speed of printing just as you would expect with laser, the scanner working through the software would take some learning for them. Overall, they are very pleased, the footprint is the same as the laser printer they had before (which went to their brother) now with this printer they have more abilities.
This is a replacement to my previous Canon ImageClass MF4770n printer and it is working just as good as the previous on did. I like that fact that I can print numerous copies without running out of printer ink and the cost of the replacement cartridges is well within my budget. This is the best printer I have ever owned.

bought the Canon image CLASS MF4770n All-In-One Laser Printer first because the cost per copy is less than .03 each. I do a lot of genealogy and had to print over 8,000 copies. If I had gone to Staples or Office Depot it would have cost be around $600. I brought extra toner cartiages at a reasonable price. My total cost including the printer was less than $300 and I have a great Black and white printer. Speed and response time is great. Need to found out how to duplex which would be a bigger plus. Plus the ADF is great for coping up to 40 copies at a time.
In the past 10 years this is the 2nd one we have had and it works great for our business! Scans, copies and prints great! The only downfall is it doesn't print in color, but what it does do is awesome!
