An awesome radio that Yaesu shouldn't have stopped making
This radio (only, IMHO, in conjunction with the FS-10 "Mr. Potato Head" microphone) is excellent, and Yaesu should still be making it. Many hams say the microphone looks terrible, and they're probably right, but you can run the entire radio with almost all of the functionality with one hand and keeping your eyes on the road (as it should be!). The radio has different beeps for feedback, you can control volume and squelch for both bands, scan channels and stop, everything, all with one hand and not looking at anything on the display. Another bonus is that the display is tiny and easy to mount as a result. Yaesu later gave in and tried selling it with a more-standard hand mic, and that wasn't great. It needs the FS-10.
