Good thing about the surface is that its very lightweight, HD screen gives it a visual feeling that laptops don't in my opinion. It does require 2-4 hour charge depending on use and it does stay on quite a bit. Actually battery life compared to its competition is much better. You may need screen protectors and casing only because it will leave finger print and smudges with normal wear. Camera works perfectly though don't expect state of the art imagery. sound works perfectly too and functionality of WiFi and Bluetooth gives it that added touch of technical mobility. Keyboard is an added touch though it is an extra cost. You can use the built in keyboard since it's actually a versatile tablet but with a keyboard makes and gives that feeling of a nice laptop. The colorful keyboards offered gives its uniqueness to ones own personality. Bad thing only I can say about the Surface, its proprietary software limits software, installs and anything Microsoft from their Microsoft Store. You can not install your own software or download any software that is not compatible. Since the store will give you mostly every popular program out there, a few popular programs like snapchat is not available so you may need to look at an alternative.Read full review

The only thing that I really didn't like about this Surface RT was that it can't even connect to a wireless printer so that is the only really downfalls about it if you're looking for something to surf the web with however and watch movies on Netflix then it's a pretty good bye but would not recommend it though for office and business kind of stuff I would however go with a Surface Pro 3 or 4 which I have now.

Many good features and works well so far, light to carry and keyboard gives person a feel for continued keyboarding; unlike virtual screen keyboards. Responds well to wireless connectivity and comes with MS Office. Down side not a lot of Apps offered so far. Only navigator is Internet Explorer. Still learning to manipulate touch screen and dual applications be open at the same time side by side,
I've had an ipod touch for several years, an iphone4 for a year, and an ipad for a bit over a year. All of these work pretty well, of course. One of my avocations is digitizing and cleaning up photos/slides/transparencies/negatives of small art objects (netsuke - look it up) - done about 10000 of them, to preserve them for study, etc. I've also digitized a number of journals as pdfs. The journals (and movies, and family photos, and music (sheet, books) go onto the ipad. Unfortunately, the ipad lacks indexing capability (as far as I've discovered). The Surface solved that issue nicely. Now I have about 10000 jpgs on the Surface, accessible individually because I've included searchable keys within the filenames. Displaying them on the surface works at least as well as on the ipad (zooming and resolution and color), and it cost a lot less than an ipad (and it does Word and Excel and Powerpoint, etc., and has a keyboard - different, but easy to use, as well as a USB port, which can be expanded with a USB port multiplier). It also replaces a heavier (and not as capable) H-P netbook - lighter for traveling.Read full review
The device is amazing. Condition is great. Amazingly easy to use, fast processor. Unique little(big) tablet. Nothing to do with seller or condition of item, my only issue is incompatibility with most of the apps I use on my laptop/desktop. And the inability to install apps outside of Microsoft store.
