The hole saw cutters appear to be fairly well made, however, the finish is not what it should be, typical of Chinese workmanship. They should make a hole in thin sheet metal without problem. I have my doubts of them being suitable for any type of production work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Did the job!
If you just need holes in thin steel less than 1/16 inch likely you can get many holes drilled. Anything thicker it is good for maybe two holes before the bit teeth break. You get what you pay for. I mainly bought this set to drill one hole at 25 mm (.98 inch), in 3/16th metal, it worked, I did try to drill another at 25 mm the bit made it half way through the 3/16th steel plate before it disintegrated. I could not find a Hercules brand hole bit at one inch, so I bought this kit. The Hercules 1 1/8th size bit plows through 3/16th metal very quick without damage to the bit. I still have other various size holes to drill in thinner material so I am not dissatisfied with the purchase of this kit, it meets my needs. Price was right, did the job! See photos, firewall pass through plate for my 55 Chevy project wiring.

Super razor sharp and quality carbide tips.
Nice set. They have a spring inside to push out the plug after it's sawed through. If you use a coolant, not an oil, they will last a long time. Oils are to keep heat in. Coolant is just a little soap, ten drops in a cup of water, and they will cut forever almost with little pressure. Better than expected! Recommended Tool!
Thought I'd try these Cutters....I knew they were very inexpensive, so I wasn't expecting them to be very tough. I have used 1 of them and worked it pretty hard. Did a good job. Don't try to use drill bit as such. .
Centering Drill bit Incredibly dull. Barely cut, when it finally went through the steel sheet metal, it slammed down and broke tooth off cutter and broke drillbit, mangled workpiece, almost hurt me. I was just glad it was in a place where the dramatic damage can't be seen. When predrilled with a regular drill, they work great. Even with one carbide tooth missing it was ok after the broken bit was swapped from another cutter. The bits worked really well there is no downside to these holesaws. I used them to make a hydraulic reservoir and drill out the large pipe fitting holes with ease.
