I have been a professional Videographer for more than 25 years. When you make a living in an artistic field, your cameras, tripods, sound equipment and computers are the tools you trust to make a living. There is NOTHING that compares to Apple. Each purchase I make is an investment, and the Apple Macbook Pro has performed with outstanding results. I love the Retina display, the speed of this computer, and it's ability to handle huge amounts of information in Premiere, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro X. Get the most RAM and the fastest processor you can afford. Edit your work to a separate hard drive, and keep your computer up to date. It is a workhorse you can depend on.

2015 macbook pro
I am giving it three stars because, was told MacBook was inspected by 3 different people and everything was good. the screen had pressure damage/light leakage about the size of a quarter that you can only see with a white background. open up a program with an all white background and look at the screen closely. the logic board was also damaged, it gave distorted video. macbook also had three dents on the bottom that was not posted and you can not see it in the photos. "in there side note it does say may have scratches, marks, dents ect.. from normal use" the good, it has apple care, apple put a new screen and logic board in it free of charge. I was lucky apple repaired it as they could of voided the warrantee as it has damage in the corner from being dropped. I would of gave 5 stars if it had free shipping for returns. spend the extra money and have any used MacBook inspected by a certified apple center.

Good Value Laptop
Retina Macbook Pro getting better and better every year. Any generation from Late 2013 to now is amazing. What I like; a) Intel i7 Quad Core Processor 2.8 super fast (can handle big and multiple programs) b) 16 GB Ram: so much visualization, virtualization, even if you notice all web pages had live streaming, you work on multiple windows or tabs, antivirus stay in memory, you need at least 16GB to work flawlessly. Not required, if you just do internet browsing or regular MS Office, letter, emails then you will be ok with 8GB. But 16GB is the best choice, because you can not upgrade ram later, that solder to motherboard. c) Dual Graphics Card: can handle multiple applications, run smoothly, great for developers, graphics designers or IT people and also for gamers. d) Flash SSD Drive: This is the only chip that is upgradable, so you can buy 512GB initially or 256GB then later you can upgrade to higher size or smarter way get external drive, time capsule would be the best choice so you would have full backup of your hard drive, if something happens. you can save tons of money just having time machine setup. I bought 2TB Time Capsule, use as time machine and file server plus one of the best internet builtin Router. e) Beautiful Retina screen is really worth it, very vivid, clean, clear, super sharp screen, love it. f) Apple is name of reliability: not like windows that crash each week or get infected by viruses. Or patches and patches sent by Microsoft each week. g) AppleCare: Bit extra money but its worth it. Apple tech service is amazing, I dont work for Apple but I love apple products. 3 years extended apple warranty is really worth it. Anything happens, you are covered. My 2014 macbook pro retina has some screen issues, I spoke to apple support, they replace the whole screen. I guess cost you over $600 to get it fixed otherwise. In applecare they replace it free. Apple warranty is million time better than best buy or another third party vendors. Well, this is my personal opinion.

I had this same MacBook Pro at work as an enterprise solutions architect. After a second screen cracked on my MacBook Pro 13”, decided this was the best laptop I’ve ever owned including a 2017 MacBook Pro 15”, 2015 MacBook Pro 13” and a 2011 11” MacBook Air. My memory wasn’t inaccurate - it really was the best of the group. Plus you can get a VERY well outfitted one for $600 these days. Basically disposable but awesome.

A great Notebook Computer
I set it up about two weeks ago and took it on the road. It is very light, has a wonderful screen, and is easy to operate. I installed photoshop on it; given the large screen, I was able to edit the photos without having to zoom in on the images. It is a big step up from my 13 inch MacBook.

My son actually purchased this machine through my eBay account. He required a MacBook Pro for school use. Although this one is 4 years old, the upgradability of the software was astounding. The power, versatility, technology, and portability of this machine are all impressive as well. The only real drither I see with this machine is the nonmodular design makes replacing damaged hardware impossible without sending it in to an Apple certified shop. Other than that, it gets Cormonster Seal of Approval. :)

great device just very dirty...with dead pixel....
after receiving device i noticed some sticky/ jammed buttons with further examination found it to be sand stuck under the keys... once i opened up the inside i found nothing but sand in the inside very dirty for a MacBook plus on top of all that it has a dead pixel i was never told about :( kinda a bummer should have been cheaper with al the errors i encountered
