The Tandberg DLT 8000 utilizes proven linear recording technology which includes a precision tape guidance mechanism and a head design with self-cleaning features for reliability four channel parallel recording, and DLZ compression for performance, real time read-while write data verification, CRC, Reed-Solomon ECC for data integrity, TapeAlert and enhanced self monitoring diagnostics and to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
