As everything goes Bluetooth, there are fewer and fewer earbud/boom designed corded headsets to buy. Although this was made for an older cell phone with a 2.5 mm plug, it works great for a cordless landline phone that had a headphone plug (which are also 2.5 mm). I've been told by the person on the other end that the sound is fine, and hearing is fine on the wearer's end. I subtracted 1 star not for sound quality, but for design of the earpiece, which is acceptable. (I have a slight preference for earbud with an over-the-ear addition.)

I've owned a Plantronics earpiece and microphone in the past and had it for years...even purchased a second one when I needed. That model was in ear with a terrific mic that you could adjust almost anyhow you wanted. This set, though cheaper and I understand that, was tough to put on, especially answering a call and the microphone was weak and people on the other end complained that they weren't hearing me clearly. I shouldn't really compare it to my old set, discontinued by the way, of course but since I've only owned these two models I just thought I'd give you this heads up. I would not purchase this again...the only thing I can think of is that it may be better with Verizon service but I don't know that for certain !

Been using this out of production product since 2003. By far, the best headset I’ve ever used. Tried earbuds, tried Bluetooth, kept coming back to Plantronics wired headsets. I love the rubber ear grabber, it holds the piece firmly, yet not hard. If it’s not broken, DON’T FIX IT!!
