Well built and worth the money

Used it to dial in a 22 rifle,a 22 pistol, and even a 16 gauge shotgun to check the accuracy of the sights. If you clamp the gun and rotate the boresight, you will see a slight rotation of the laser beam on the target, about the same amount on all three firearms,so it must be in the boresight. This can be adjusted out if you take the time to do it,but it got me on the paper as it was.In bright sunlight its a little hard to locate if you're very far out,but quite useful for what it's intended.Good magnet to hold it to the barrel, good quality build, and easy to use. Quite the bargain!

  • better than others

I own a few other brands of laser bore sighters and this one seems to be closer to the alignment of the barrel. I have a marlin 17 HMR with a 3x9x40mm scope that I knew was dead on and I used it to make my judgment. It was dead on with the cross hairs of that scope. Perfect

  • Excellent device

This is great product to get you on the paper for fine tuning. What I did was take a rifle that I know is dead on and looked at the laser and cross hair locations at 20 yards. Then take a new rifle/scope set up and set it at the same configuration as the one that is on. Works great, easy to use with the end of the barrel install. You can also use it on AR rifles with flash suppressors. you just have to ensure that device is centered in the suppressor being the opening is bigger than the barrel insert.

  • Works good. Works on A2 Birdcage too, with adjustments..

Caution: Get the SM39024 (red) or SM39026 (green). These are the ones with the centering cone. SM39014 does not have it, and is the 'version 1' of this tool. I bought the /24 Red version as most of my scopes and 'red' dots are green. Made it much easier to see which dot belonged to what :) As soon as I got his working, I put it on my BP40CC (carry) and Ruger P89 (house) whose sights were already aligned. It sat flush on both and was dead on. I then put it on a 10/22 and Rem 700 .308. Again, sat flush and dead on. Regardless of what you read, it WILL work on a A2 Birdcage, as long as you have the standard steel one. The centering cone will not fit (too small), but, the outside circumference of the magnetic base is the same size, so all you have to do is match it to the A2 and off you go. I used my thumbnail to align it, and it worked pretty good at ~25yds, being only a couple inches off at 50yds for the final zero. As mentioned, take the batteries out when you are done for the day and the switch WILL get pushed back to ON and kill the batts in short order. Speaking of the batts, the + is the 'flat' side and goes into the batt holder first or 'down'. The - is the 'button', and should be 'up' in the batt holder. The open end of the battholder, with the batt 'button' showing, goes into the laser against the spring. Just for those who didnt figure this out already ;) All in all, a pretty good product so far. Better than most, cheap, 'All-in-One' bore sighters.

  • Simple and works great

Quick and easy, after it magnetically attaches to the barrel, I recommend you spin it a bit to ensure it’s centered up. This let’s you get that rough alignment and then you can site in at the range. The tapered end is spring loaded to work on many sizes. I’ve used fro, .17 hmr up to my 308

  • Easy, accurate and convenient

Laser was as advertised. A built in magnet attaches device to the end of the pistol barrel. This method may be more accurate and convenient than the style that inserts inside the barrel. The device appears very accurate out to at least 25 yards. I use it to test projectile deflection through various substances at ranges 15 feet or less. The laser establishes the trajectory before the shot is fired. Deviations from that trajectory are then measured. LR-44 batteries are common and easy to replace. Good product at a fair price.

  • Well worth the money

Trying to sight in several different weapons of different calibers with the same consistency is a task that is not easy. With this Sightmark it makes this difficult task achievable in less time than you would think. This is the third Sightmark that I have purchased over the past year as it is a very good product and a great gift!

  • Boresight

This boresight works great just like in the video's,very easy to use. With this I don't have to buy a boresight for every caliber I have. Works great on handgun, rifle and even shotgun. I wished I would have bought one of these years ago.

  • Great product

Works great. Very handy and works with all my firearms The on off switch has a tendency to turn itself on so remove the batteries when storing between use.
