With its dual port and full duplex connectivity, this model is ideal for high-capacity data center storage, business-critical environments, high-performance computing, storage area networks (SAN), network attached storage (NAS), direct attached storage (DAS), cloud storage, and surveillance systems. It is built to perform all day, every day (field-tested 1.2 million hour MTBF) with a 5-disk platform, 800GB per platter, SAS-interface, and 6 Gb/s transfer rates. This Western Digital RE Enterprise (WD2000FYYZ) SATA III hard drive offers a massive 2TB capacity, meaning you’ll have room for up to 2,000 hours of video footage, 34,000 hours of music, or more than half a million high-definition photos. You can expect top performance with the lightning fast 6 Gb/s SATA III (Serial ATA-600) interface speed, sustained sequential data rates of 171 MB/s, and high random I/O rates. With a huge dual processor 64MB buffer size, 4.2ms (nominal) average latency, and a highly efficient 7200 RPM motor, you’ll enjoy the some of the highest performance available. This drive utilizes enhanced RAFF technology to monitor for and correct any vibration in real time, resulting in significantly increased performance. It also has a feature called StableTrac, which helps the hard drive perform more efficiently by reducing vibration. The Western Digital RE Enterprise (WD2000FYYZ) 2TB drive has a dual actuator head-positioning system that improves positional accuracy over the data track(s). With its long-term durability and speed, this drive will meet even the most demanding system needs. Western Digital provides you with reliable and durable drives in the Enterprise HDD model line. To start, the multi-axis shock sensor will detect even the smallest shock event, adjusting to protect your data. They have also implemented the industry-leading NoTouch ramp load technology, which ensures that the recording heads never touch the disk media, thus prolonging the life of the drive. The RAID-specific time-limited error recovery (TLER) technology prevents drive fallout caused by the extended hard drive error-recovery process. Finally, this storage device has dynamic fly height technology, which adjusts each read-write head’s fly height in real time, to further improve reliability. The drive has a quick seek time (8.9ms average), which improves battery consumption as well. The best Drives on the market
Best 2Gb for the money. Fast and Reliable. I have some running 24x7x365 for 8+ years. No other brand have came close. I have tried all brands. The Factory installed WD's are as good. But short of a factory installed WD there are just not any as good.

Bought one new old stock
Bought one new old stock in 2020 sometimes and it was made in 2013. I use it to store all my files and backups. After a few days, it makes a bit of grinding noises (like some older drives do) when it's being accessed, searched or defragmented but i checked it and there are no errors. Usually never needs to be defragmented. So far it has 1341 hours and 178 power on counts.
