The 2 gigabyte size SD card is the largest capacity that older digital cameras can handle because larger sizes use a different storage method. They make these cameras function much more usefully than they did originally, as well over 2,000 pictures can be stored on the same card. You should however, try to copy the files to some other medium every so often - a computer or maybe also a web storage site. You don't need a cable. They can be inserted into a SD card reader, or plugged into many computers these days (but that's going out of fashion again) Files can be read and copied in the DOS (cmd) box of Windows They are actually regular standard FAT 16 files. Each camera may use a different naming convention for files it pays attention to. The card here is priced a little bit too high, but perhaps they may be getting scarcer. The Kingston SD cards definitely are reliable - more reliable than the cameras, which semi- frequently need to be replaced, and can be for around $20 on eBay.Read full review

I am so very pleased to have found this product. I looked and looked in many stores where I live, but absolutely nothing was available. I like to use a separate card for separate "events" (things like family photos, in-house photos for insurance purposes). And now I can!
