VORTEX VIPER
This is a great scope. Yes it's a little heavy but I am also (and I work just fine). The 30mm tube makes it look tough & sturdy. I have not used it in the field as yet. I mounted it on a new Thompson Center Venture 30-06. I shot one shot at a 3' x 3' target, 100' distance. It shot 6" low & 9" to the left. I adjusted the scope, shot one more round. It was 2" low and 3" left. I adjusted the scope again. The 3rd shot was an 1 1/2 high and 1/2" right. I then went to the 100 yard target. It shot 5" high and 4" right. I adjusted the scope. The next shot was 1" high and dead center. I shot 3 more rounds at the small top right circle on the 'Shoot & See' target. You can cover the holes with a quarter. The Vortex Viper is in the same category as a Leupold VX2 in my opinion. I have a VX2 and they are a good quality scope. For the price it's about as good as you'll find.
