I just renovated a Honda HRR216 that did not have a mulch plug. This slipped in very easy.
Once you get the plug open the back and it slips in very easily and converts from using your bagger to fully mulching your grass. Make sure your blades are sharp. I would suggest also hosing out the underside of the mower to prevent it from rusting which was a problem with this mower I renovated.
