    Excellent Knives

Amazing knives! Having been a butcher, hunter, carver/whittler, and cook for many years, I bought my first Mora only several years ago, and was instantly a huge fan. Great quality-- sharpness, balance, durability at unbelievably low cost. I now have Moras in my kitchen, campbox, glove compartment, workbench-- nearly everywhere I go except the bathroom! These come super sharp and hold an edge better than most knives that cost 5 or 5 times as much. Great size and shape for most tasks - not too big or little ( even for Goldilocks). Excellent grip to handles. Easy to maintain. Highly Recommended.

    Good for the price...

For the price of this knife, I would recommend it... it is sharp, the steel seems of decent quality and the knife is useful. I only give these ratings based on the cost of the knife. I am a knife snob, so if I paid more for a knife, I would want better quality. If I was to rate this based on my other higher quality knives, I would not give it good ratings. But for the price of this knife, and what I use it for... it's great. I don't have to worry about damaging it and I can use it and not be cautious with it in terms of harming the edge or knife. The handle is not something I like - but again - based on the cost, it's fine. I would rather the handle had some rubber content in it, so it would not feel as slippery... but it works fine for what I use it for.

  • Mora 511

The Mora is a must have for preppers campers, scouting or anyone that loves a quality knife light weight easy to grip comes razor sharp the carbon steel is easy to sharpen truly what's not to like? in my opinion it's the best roughly $10 knife anywhere don't let the price fool you it's worth twice as much be a great knife for the tackle box or tool box too Mora's rock no matter which type you pick you can't go wrong and to sum it up I've NEVER read a single negative review on a Mora online ever

  • Handy Utility Knife that you can afford to have everywhere

The price and clip on sheath are a plus. I keep these with my multiple sets of Pruning tools for the Garden. They do well outside. Blades are sharp, handles are ergonomic. A good value.

  • More Than Your Money's Worth

I had been looking for a great, cheaper priced knife that if something happened to it I wouldn't care if I had to toss it. The Morakniv name kept coming up as I researched a knife that fit my needs. First off, I have to say the price is right. You get a whole lot of knife for the price with a razor sharp edge that is easy to maintain. Second, the sheath isn't the best I have seen for my use, but it is a study, plastic sheath that will hold up to hard use. The only problem I have with the sheath is I have never been able to keep anything that's not a "full loop" attachment without losing it along the way. This isn't a "full loop belt sheath." The carbon steel is more prone to rusting if not cared for properly, but good care keeps it rust free. Third, for a knife that isn't a full tang knife, it can and does take some heavy punishment. Overall I would highly recommend a Morakniv to anyone. The price, the blade and the sheath are worth much more than the entry price of most knives and Mora's are a much better quality than most I have seen at this price. It can and will do the job!

  • Hunting/Survival knives

This knife came razor sharp! I shaved hair off my arm and can't wait to try it out. Rhw deep set semi-locking sheath keeps it in place and the fact it's a hard resin should hold up in all types of conditions

  • Great knife for every day use

Good quality and for the price it's a steal. Works for all around every day use. Leave one in the car and one for work. Will buy again in another color handle. Worth the buy. 😀👍

  • Great Knives!

Love these carbon steel knives. They are quality made, razor sharp, hold an edge, and are easy to sharpen on my steel. I have several lengths and styles of the Mora. All are great. Last, but not least, the price can't be beat anywhere while getting this kind of quality.

  • Morakniv Basic 511

Knife feels very sturdy. The blade is extremely sharp; only slightly smaller than the companion. The handle feels great in hand; I like it better than the companion however the rubber coating on the companion is nice as well, but if it was rubberized like the companion it would be perfect. The sheath plastic feels nice and strong but the knife retention is very loose and sloppy; the fitment of the companion case is way better. At under $10 it's still worth modifying the knife so it functions a little better but honestly the loose case combined with the extreme sharpness of this knife is a liability and I'd be hesitant to recommend it to anyone that isn't going to find a "fix" for this problem. Morakniv makes great products but they need to fix the loose sheath issue ASAP, also recommend rubber or friction tape the handle and you would have an excellent knife.
